The students will perform works of their choice on their instrument of preference and will wear a costume that relates to their piece. (Doesn't that sound fun?) :-)
When: Wednesday, October 26, 6-8pm 6:00 - 6:30 = set-up and warm-up 6:30 - 7:30 = Performance 7:30 - 8:00 = spooky snacks! (I was thinking along the lines of cookies and punch. If you would like to donate a snack, please e-mail me at [email protected]) Where: The Guru 1857 Government Street Baton Rouge, LA 70808 (thegurubr.com) What to wear: A costume that goes along with the performance pieces. Why: To experience a more theatrical style of music. Also, it will be something different and it will be fun! :-) What to Practice: We will have 2 group songs in addition to some drum circle pieces and (hopefully) some class compositions. In addition, the students will all be given the opportunity to perform a solo of their choice at this event. We are off to a great start with Talented Music at Glasgow! Our students will perform at the upcoming Open House next Tuesday, September 27th, at 5:30. We will play from 5:30 until 6:00 when the meeting starts. (6-8pm) We have an interesting mix of vocal, piano, and guitar solos as well as some drum circle pieces. I look forward to seeing you there.
